(AWA 2025 Rabies Vaccination Project)
If you are local to our area, then Amos might look familiar to you, because he has worked previously for the SPCA. As he wasn’t working and we were looking for someone to join our team for a special 9-month Rabies-focused project, we were excited (and a little relieved) when his CV came through as it meant we could start on this project right away because we simply don’t have the luxury of time to train someone to handle animals that need to be vaccinated.
Rabies remains an ongoing concern in our area, and we have a strict policy that we vaccinate any animal against Rabies that we come into contact with.
The target is that a minimum of 500 animals gets vaccinated against Rabies per month. Amos is raring to go, and he will help us to keep Rabies in our area in check.
