Nico Mahlohla

(Qualified Animal Welfare Assistant)

Nico Mahlohla, originally from QwaQwa studied agriculture and irrigation before joining the Cluny team.

He adores animals in all shapes and sizes, and he is honestly one of those genuine, hard-working animal lovers and we are blessed to have him as part of the Cluny Animal Trust team! There is quite frankly nothing he won’t do to help out and he is always willing to learn. What we all love about Nico is that he is always so enthusiastic, and he will help out not matter what the job is, and he simply gets on with it and gets it done…nothing ever seems to faze him!

As an AWA, you will find him at our animal hospital in Fouriesburg and he goes to every outreach where he helps to dip and deworm animals. He has a flair for engaging with children and he is helping us to educate them as well as their parents about proper animal care. Plus, he is a great carpenter to boot…even before he officially worked for Cluny, he lent a helping hand with the dog kennels that we build for Mandela Day! In addition, he has taken like a duck to water and helped the team out with their fundraising initiatives, and he is always there to greet our supporters with the biggest and most genuine smile!
